achtentwintig - still a human
[After over a year in Mayfield, Holland still has his human body.  He's not quite sure what that means; has he aged?  Will he be one year older, physically, forever?  He hadn't really seen nations age quickly; he did used to be much smaller, but he hasn't been little in over 300 years.

Anyway, he didn't feel terribly different.  Injuries hurt more, his body got aches and pains that it never got before, and it was just so easy to be killed, as a human.  But other than that . . . well, it was different.

So when he gets the mail and finds two familiar looking envelopes, he's eager to open them.  He'll tear both open and look at the pictures inside at the same time.

And what he sees are
this and this this.  There's an enormous noise in the backyard, and when the Netherlands turns back towards the house, he'll see a mast standing out behind it.

He was still a human.]

A - For housemates and anyone happening by Mitchell Rd.

[There is a very large ship in the backyard of 1447 Mitchell Rd.  Holland notices that it's smaller, smaller than it should be.  Still, it takes up almost all of the backyard, and the masts are well-visible above the houses.  The cannon sits in the lawn, the grass and ground underneath indented from the weight of the metal.  A few cannonballs are nearby.  Netherlands will spend a lot of effort wheeling it to the front of the house, eventually using the car to tow it.

If the ship doesn't catch the attention of the neighbors, a cannonball being shot down the street probably will.  After loading it attentively he'll light the fuse and take cover.  He's careful to avoid houses, but some of the cars might not be so lucky as the cannonball flies down the street..
He's impressed it worked; it looks like the cannon has been at the bottom of the ocean for some time and he was mostly expecting it to explode.  Holland will ignore the crashing sound of a cannonball hitting something; he'll move the cannon best he can and leave it against the curb in front of the house where, he guesses it works okay as an accent.  It doesn't really go with the tulips though; he'll spend the morning polishing it best he can and trying to get most of the rust off.]

B - for [personal profile] a_gentle_boy

[Holland remembers all the people he'd talked to while he didn't have any memories.  One of those people is Lucas.  He's going to visit his friend now, and try to clear things up.  There is a knock on the door in the afternoon.]

C- Phone

Hoi, you guys; this is Netherlands.  I'm myself now and I remember what I should remember.  Sorry.

. . . . sorry about the cannon.

zevenentwintig - revival
A - 1447 Mitchell Rd - for [personal profile] achromous and anybody visiting the house

[He'll wake up from his drone wife giving him a kiss.  It was the only thing the drone did that was even remotely like Canada, and so he'd at least try to enjoy it on some mornings.

But this morning, when he wakes up, he doesn't have any memories of Canada at all.  He doesn't seem to remember anything about . . . well, anything at all.

And his leg is in agony; it feels like someone has stabbed something through it, but when he frantically throws the blanket off onto the woman in bed with him  -- she giggled a bit -- he sees that there isn't a single injury to be found.  Confused, he's interrupted when the woman calls him 'Thijs' and says he's going to be late for work.  ]

I need a day off.

[She'll look a bit concerned, but doesn't press, telling him cheerfullly she'll call the pharmacy -- he's a pharmacist? -- and make him something for breakfast.  When she leaves, he'll lay in bed staring at the ceiling . . . trying to remember who he is, and where he is.  He has only the faintest recollections of being alone, somewhere, in a house with a damp floor surrounded by a fog he couldn't walk through.  What was that?

Hilda might meet the drone wife carrying some soup and toast up the stairs, for breakfast.

Anybody else visiting the house throughout the day might be greeted by Holland answering the door.  He'll try to be sociable as he desperately tries to remember who you are.  He's even trying to smile; his attempts are nothing short of pathetic, and he'll appear to be wincing instead.]

[Phone]

[His normally passive tone with slight bossiness to it now sounds extremely uncertain, even hesitant.]

I don't . . . know where I am.

[sigh]

Can someone tell me what this town is called?  I keep asking this woman who lives with me and she keeps laughing at me . . .

B - Around Town; Grocery store; Pharmacy - open to all

[He's feeling only a little better, leg still hurting as he shivers a little, feverish.  Still, his wife -- that's who she was, right?  She really was cheerful, at any rate -- had asked for some groceries, and admonished him to pick up some medicine from the pharmacy.  He'll be driving -- driving, really -- but it will be possible to catch him around town.

He might look a bit odd, as his hair is falling into his eyes, unstyled, and he's not wearing his scarf.]

[ooc:  Holland died at the Carnival, and is now dealing with some revival effects, including amnesia and phantom pain, and lingering sickness from drinking the water.  He'll be okay in a few days.]

zesentwintig - this time
A - 1447 Mitchell for [personal profile] achromous

[Canada had been back for a few truly happy weeks for Holland.  He was just so glad she was back, and Hilda too, and he'd tried to spend a lot of time with both of them, even if he was incredibly bad at telling them directly how badly he'd missed them.  He supposed it could look really pathetic, the way he enjoyed living like a human being, and not a nation.  Good thing he never really gave a damn about what others thought.

This morning, a good-morning kiss from Canada had him waking up, again, happy.  As happy as he could be in Mayfield.

. . . that is, until she called him by that human name the town had given him.  It wasn't her.  She wasn't there, again.  After literally pushing the drone away, he'll go down the hall, long and purposeful strides giving away how worried he truly was.

He'll stop at Hilda's door, knocking a bit too loudly, a bit too fast - desperate, really.  Please be there.]

B - The Pharmacy

[Glad, at least, that Hilda was home, he didn't want to stay in the house with Canada's drone.  While he doesn't stay at work, co-workers will notice Holland come into the pharmacy, prepare a prescription of very high strength barbiturates, then leave with them.  He will not say hello.

He'll be using them to sleep tonight, hoping the sedative will do it's job. Falling asleep alone in the house had been hard, when he thought of his housemates being droned.  But Hilda was there; he reminded himself of that often, now.]

C
anywhere in town

[He'll visit a few places today, walking by himself.  The flower shop, the hardware store, and he'll stop at the pet store to get a new toy for his rabbit.  He'll also look at all the other pets.

Anything to make him feel better.  It wasn't as though he weren't used to people coming and going; he was a nation, he'd been alive for over a thousand years.

He just really, really, really hadn't wanted Canada to be droned.  What if she didn't come back?

If it's any indication of how much he's been affected, and how he's feeling, Holland actually looks sad and upset.  It's plain as day, right on his face, the neutral expression only trying to surface now and then when anybody talks to him.]

D - for 846 Goldberg

[There is a tall, irritated-looking nation sitting on the porch.  He hasn't knocked on the door yet.]

vijfentwintig - loss
[It had been one thing, when Hilda was droned.  They hadn't gone to the dance like he'd expected he and Canada would; the new dress he'd gotten the other nation was all but forgotten in it's box he'd carefully concealed in the hallway closet, along with the suit he'd bought and had altered by Norway.

Norway.  The other nation had been a surprise, and not a bad one either.  Denmark, on the other hand, had been a bit disappointing.  What could he say to a Denmark who didn't even know who he was when the other nation was, in the modern age, one of his closest friends?

But he and Canada hadn't expected Hilda to be droned.  He'd been with Hilda the longest out of anybody in the house; they'd been through enough together that he really was fond of her, like one of his citizens.

And like a friend.  Neither him or Canada felt like going anywhere after that.

It had been a hard week.  He'd spent a lot of time on his bike, and a lot of time at work, more than usual.  He didn't know how to help Canada feel better, let alone himself.

And come Monday, she wasn't even Canada anymore.  When he'd woke after the weekend to find both Canada and Italië Romana gone, it brought back troubling memories of his first weeks in Mayfield; had it really been over a year?  What a pleasant surprise it had been to find Hilda and Hilbert in the house.  Hilbert; it had been so long.  Hilda.  He was alone again.  He'd started locking the drones in their rooms at night and sleeping on the sofa again, just like his first few weeks in Mayfield.

The last strain for the centuries-old nation was when he'd gone to see Spain to, out of courtesy, tell him about Italië Romana.  And Spain was gone too.  The cheer on the other's face was not the same idiotic cheer Holland was used to.  Spain calling him by a human name made him so angry he'd shoved the drone into the house and slammed the door closed.  After that, he'd gone straight home.]

Phone:  For Belgium and open to all, especially CR that knows Holland

[And he's reaching out to the only person who can help him now.  If she were gone, he wouldn't know what to do.  He hadn't really ever used the phone system feeling this worried before.]

Hallo?  België, are you there?   België?

[A pause.  There isn't a waver in his voice, nothing tremulous, but there is strain, an edge, and definitely some desperation. ]

België?  België, it's important.  Zus. . . Zuster, you need to answer if you're there.  [Bossy.]

I need . . .

[ . . . to talk to someone.  He'll wait as long as it takes for Belgium to pick up, saying her name into the phone occasionally, but if she doesn't answer after awhile he'll go to the bakery.]

Action - later in the day

[Outside, the tulips that fill Holland's yard don't look as good as they usually do.  The days were getting warmer, and soon it would be too hot for them to survive in the yard.  Even though they're wilting, he'll lay in them as he often does, as a way of comfort.  Their slight wilting definitely fit his mood.]

vierentwintig - Mother's Day
[It was startling to wake up this morning.  Not only did he feel off, Mother's Day marked just past a year since he'd arrived in Mayfield.  A year of time . . . it was a short amount, to a nation, but long to be away from his people and home regardless.

. . . and then Holland remembers last Mother's Day.  A day where he spent the majority of it being compelled by a certain girl with bright pink hair to do whatever she asked.  He hadn't seen Nena since . . . was it Valentine's Day?  Possibly, since he remembered feeling as though they were good friends, under Mayfield's influence.  After all, the last time he'd seen her before that she'd shot out the windows of his house.  He still had the gun she'd given him, too.

And that's why he's going to try as hard as he can to slip out of bed and out of the house without meeting Canada or Hilda.  It doesn't really go as planned though.]

A - for housemates at 1447 Mitchell Rd.

[Good morning.  That was just the sound of notdad tripping over a polar bear in the hallway and falling down half a flight of stairs.  The hell, Kumarie.  She was usually in bed with him and Canada.]

B - Open to all - around town

[Now that he's feeling about as awkward as he possibly can, it would be a great time to run into any other ladies he's gotten to know in town.  He might even be compelled to wave a greeting, only to quickly shove his hand in his pocket and look away, embarrassed.

What, he didn't say anything.]

C.  Belgium's house -  5718 Cunningham - open to all residents

[He just wants to see his sister.  And maybe bring her half the tulips in his front yard.  It wasn't half, but it was a lot.  Holland might even let himself into the house and arrange them all in the kitchen, where he'll start to make something tasty, stirring something on the stove.]

8th Fifth - The Captain is now Astral!
A) [Action | 630 Toppers Street]

[This is not his beautiful house. That is not his beautiful wife. Also, why is she so tall?

He sneaks off to the bathroom and notices he is blue.

Well then, time to act rational. By rational, I mean Astral goes running screaming through the house.]

☠☠☠☠! Where the ☠☠☠☠ am I? What the ☠☠☠☠?

B) [Phone | Unfiltered]

[Astral's voice comes over the line, with a lot more emotion and cursing. Also, concerned over his lack of genitalia.

Not really aware he is calling the entire town.]

☠☠☠☠, come one. Oh, hey! Lucas! Ken! Tsubaki! And... uh...

Uh... ☠☠☠☠, guy I work with at the pharmacy... ☠☠☠☠. I forgot your name... I am the worst ☠☠☠☠ friend.

Anyways, guys! I don't know what's going on and I am freaking the ☠☠☠☠ out.

And I don't have a ☠☠☠☠ anymore and I am not sure if that's dangerous or not.

C) [Action | Olney's Tavern]

[Astral walks in trying not to look nervous.

Moving up to the bar, even with the displeased looks from the drones.]

Uh... hey. Could I get a shot of whatever whiskey you got? I've been having a terrible day.

D) [Action | Anywhere | Late afternoon]

[Astral is going around town. Even if he didn't get shots at the bar, he stole some of his not!dad's alcohol and a flask.

Astral is stumbling about with that flask now, having a hard time walking straight.]

☠☠☠☠... I'm a lightweight...

drieëntwintig - May the pranks be ever in your favor
[He was definitely feeling sick.  He hadn't seen too many strange spots, but the tiredness and ill feeling is obvious, and from his experience with this town - it could always get worse.  And it likely would.

Yes, he had gotten a letter.  Yes, he had tried to ignore it as he had last year, when the town instructed him to kill, and he'd endured the painful nightmares and hallucinations that had come with ignoring the town.

. . . but this year.  He could play a harmless prank.  Chances were some of the pranks weren't going to be so harmless, but Holland could make sure his were. ]

[A] - Mayfield Hospital for Akira [personal profile] stupidsexydate

[There is a man waiting in the . . . well, the waiting room.  He is holding a bunny in his lap.  He's requested Dr. Date specifically.]

[B] - 749 Partridge Drive for Will [personal profile] bustsamove and any other residents or neighbors

[Somebody is nailing a Dutch flag to the front door.  With a hammer, a small flagpole, the works.

. . . sigh.  Nation humor.]

[C] - for Rika [personal profile] badend_replay  and Arcueid [personal profile] tsukihime at their respective homes.  Also any other residents.

[He's hoping the two are home, when he visits.  After a knock on the door or a ring of the doorbell, a man is standing on the porch, holding a very cute rabbit.]

[D] - Home - 1447 Mitchell Rd.  Also for Nyanpire [personal profile] nyanpire and anybody who might want to prank The Netherlands.

[He's been gone awhile.  A perfect opportunity for anybody wanting to prank Holland's house, really.  Feel free to catch him as he's going home as well, though he's driving for extra protection.]

A - 1447 Mitchell Rd.

[Holland had regained a good number of things in almost a year of time in Mayfield. He had two rabbits now, his old friend Poffertje and another one of his pets, Soesje, both rabbits named after cream-puff like pastries. At least Poffertje was happy; he needed a lady-friend.

He'd also gotten by with comforting items like his pipe, his scarf, and even his coat . . . and this morning he gets something more. There is an envelope shaped like a card in the mail, and when he opens it on the porch, he's greeted by a picture of a field of tulips. For a moment he's distracted by the flowers, the relaxing colors and they weren't laid out too badly either . . . it definitely looked like something from home.

And that's when he hears the loud crashing and shouts from the kitchen. He'll run into the house, only to be met with an enormous pile of tulip bulbs filling the kitchen.

He could use those. ]

Don't damage them!

B - Mayfield Elementary School

[Holland is going to walk his new notdaughter Romana to school. In the cute little dress that Canada picked out, with her cute little pigtails she's. . . well, still Romana, but cute. Eat your heart out, Spain.]

C. Phone - Morning

For anybody who knew Italië Romana, she's back now only she's very small and she's living in my house now.

Spanje, you can't come over.

D - The Pharmacy

[Holland is hard at work, or hardly working depending on the time of day. For now, he's stocking shelves, a seemingly endless job. Now would be the perfect time to talk to him and ask him about his awkward personal life.]

E - Phone - Afternoon - to all

I'm staring a gardening business, because it sounds like a lot of people want to learn. You can come to a free demonstration at my house, 1447 Mitchell Rd. at 10 A.M on Saturday. Free pancakes.

[ooc: There will be a log for this. Also he may or may not have discussed the pancakes with Canada beforehand. . .]

eenentwintig - Blooming
[It's been pretty much impossible for the not!family to get anything out of Holland lately.  He's been refusing to tell them where he spent that week or so, or the fact that he spent it as a half-rabbit, half-human monster.  Once his appearance had mostly returned to normal, he'd gone home, leaving the drone family whose house he'd more or less hijacked.

It wasn't so much the fur or the ears that bothered him; it was more the craving human flesh that led Netherlands decide to keep on the down-low during all of that.  No, the fur and ears had been fine, even if he still hadn't been able to talk to his rabbit.

As curious as you are not!family, he's not spilling.  He might still get the occasional, painful urge to turn to cannibalism but it only lasts for seconds.  Occasionally, he'll chew on a straw or two of hay.  Mostly, he's been sleeping; Holland is clearly an even lazier rabbit than his own pet.]

A - [1447 Mitchell Rd]
[locked to notfamily and anybody who wants to visit the house on Mitchell Rd.   Notdad is sleeping in the back-yard, just sprawled on the grass.  His pet rabbit is happily sleeping next to him.]</small>

B - [Event: Blooming] - the next day
[1447 has received a Pitcher plant that Holland immediately sets on the kitchen table.  Feel free to approach.]

C - [Event:  Blooming] - around town
[Holland will be visiting with some non-effect inducing tulips.  Particularly he will be visiting if you are someone who has irritated him, gotten on his nerves, or even hurt him in some way.  Thanks to the Pitcher plant, he'll be giving you a positive greeting and expressing how much he likes you in the best way he can.  By thrusting flowers in your face, and possibly sweets or a plush.

No hard feelings, right?]

[ooc:  Feel free to run into Holland with your character whether he likes them, dislikes them, or they have never met him before!]

[A] - Backdated to just after New Year's - locked to housemates

[When notdad gets home early from work he looks like he's visited the market; he's got a few bags and he immediately goes to the kitchen. Soon after there's a sign on the closed kitchen door that reads 'Please keep out except for emergencies' and the sounds and smells of something cooking are coming from inside.

Towards what could be called dinner time, he's set the dining room table nicely; there's spots for all of them, along with bowls of thick pea soup with sausage, baked rolls with butter and cheese.

At both Canada and Hilda's places there's a small pot with a strawberry plant in it. The berries on it are small but very sweet; there's a card about how to grow them indoors during the winter.

. . . and hopefully, his notfamily can forgive him for considering Mayfield's words about the fakes and contemplating on how he'd kill them. He'll let them know dinner is ready.]

[B] - The park - open to everybody

[After dinner, the occupants of pet-house are taking a walk in the park; there's Canada and her bear and moose, Hilda and her pokemon, and Holland with his bunny. Feel free to awkwardly stare, or even talk to them.]
